Back in early July we took a trip to Vermont. 16 hours in the corrolla with the 4 of us and my sister Julia! It was a fun trip and the boys were amazing. They slept through the night (we drove the through the night) and were pretty good during the 6-8 hours of awake time in the car. Still, we were thinking that going in a mini-van must be kinda nice for the next trip!! We'll see. We don't think we can fit baby #3 in the car anyways!
Andrew got to spend some good time with Grandpa. He still talks about the "baspberries" (blackberries) that he got to pick with Grandpa beside the road.It was beautiful there - 70's all week. And there was some rain every day so dad was not able to do any haying. But we got to see a lot of him so we were thankful for that! We spent a lot of time outdoors talking and watching the cars go by:) It was so nice to have my mom's help with the boys and all the meals cooked! I was 11 weeks pregnant so just starting to feel a little better!
Dad always has a way of making simple games that kids love. I remember him doing that a lot with us as kids! This one involved a box and 2 coasters and Jack thought it was so funny and they played it for 15-20 minutes at a time (that is a long time for a 1 year old!)! He has this loud laugh he does that cracks me up. He had a great time with Grandpa doing this.
The lake is just a few minutes from our house and we found a spot to visit it and the playground nearby. Lake Champlain is beautiful!
