It had been about 4 months since we had seen the Halls so we were very excited when Aunt Geneva, Lauren and Carter came for a visit!

We went to the Cedarville homecoming parade with the kids. The kids have a strange fascination with parades. They talk about them for hours afterward, but in the moment are a little overwhelmed and shell shocked! Jack still talks about the firetruck from the parades!

Lauren doesn't like loud noises here. Andrew just decided he liked loud noises but Jack doesn't now. It is funny how their preferences can sometimes change overnight!!

Funny to see the boys running around on the sidewalks Stephen and i walked on together just 6 years earlier:)

There was plenty of free food and kids activities. Andrew was into doing the bouncy house slide on his own! And here he is trying to help little brother do it. Maybe next year Jack will be ready:)

One of our days Geneva and i were going to be ambitious and take the kids apple picking. But by 10:30 in the morning we still hadn't left the house and we knew we would need to feed kids and get to naps in just an hour or 2! But we had already promised the kids we would go apple picking. Thankfully i had 2 bags of apples so we put apples out in the back yard and gave the kids bags. They had a blast "apple picking" and we ate some homemade sweet potato bread and cider after the picking!

I had to try to capture the moment after breakfast. It took about 1 1/2 hours to feed the kids. There was several batches of cream of wheat (which is all over the floor), toast, eggs and drinks for all. By the time we were done and cleaned up it was time for lunch:)

Miss Patty Cake is a favorite - here they are watching it and "praying" with Miss Patty Cake. Lauren is especially into Miss Patty Cake and pretends to be her during some of her playing.

It's so funny how their little quirks change so quickly! :) I still love that picture from the fall on Josh sitting with Jack who is covering his ears! Haha! :)
