loving having my little girl!! I told Stephen that i feel like doing more girly things all of a sudden now that i have a girl! For 3 years it has been boys play (which is tons of fun too!)!!
Our Jack. This is such a classic look for him - hair disheveled, sticker in hair, food on shirt - we don't know how he always can pull off this look!!! He is so much fun and has such a joyful spirit. He has this laugh that is very loud and contagious. He loves saying hat, sorry, thank you and please (pronounced "keys). He gets such a kick out of Andrew using the potty now - it is amazing how silly these boys get when it has to do with bathroom humor!! I suppose boys don't really grow out of this either??! When Andrew is done Jack runs to the M&M's and yells "MMMMM" (he gets one too if Andrew goes #2). He loves books - there are these 2 farm books with doors in them that he carries around all day and we read them about 50 times every day! He is also a big fan of "Go Dog Go"! He is starting to do legos and plays really well on his own and with his brother. He has become quite independent of mommy at this stage right now. He has the funniest eating habits - he takes forever to eat and carries around a piece of food and nibbles on it - even if it is a cookie it still takes him a good 15 minutes to eat it! And he takes little sips of drink all day long. Such the opposite of Andrew but so similar to how he was as a baby! He can still be very dramatic when things don't go his way. This is such a fun stage to watch language and personality develop! He still only has 8 teeth - praying that he gets more soon.
Andrew - our little 3 year old! Can't believe we are entering the preschool years! We have found every age to be a great joy and challenge at the same time! Some highlights of this age are being potty trained (he has done so good with this!) and being able to do more things on his own - like putting things away, getting his clothes and running little errands in the house. We love being able to play games with him (he has started to understand memory and different relay games, green light/red light) and he just loves doing crafts/coloring projects. Cooking is also a highlight at this age. I only wish i had more time to give one on one to these projects - there is just an endless amount of things to do at this age!! He says the funniest things. One daily supper conversation goes like this: Andrew: "daddy, how was your day?". Stephen - "good". Andrew "good, was it busy". Stephen "yeah". Andrew "yeah, my day was busy too. ". Stephen "what did you do?". Andrew "i played - played trains, legos, etc...". He says this all in such a serious, funny voice and it cracks us up each time! He adores his little sister and gets so excited to help with diaper changes or give her kisses. It is neat to see him take on that role as oldest sibbling!
