Potty Training...

This picture of Andrew cracks me up!! After Julia arrived to help, we started potty training Andrew. I am so thankful for her help - couldn't do it without her! I have to say Andrew was a relatively easy potty trainer but it still took lots of time and effort for a few weeks! We did yogurt covered raisins as treats and developed some sticker charts to help him stay focused with hand washing/toilet flushing. It was quite an experience - honestly the hardest part wasn't getting him to go in the toilet (he actually did that right away) but keeping him focused on all the steps of going to the bathroom and keeping his hands from icky stuff!!

Going #2 definitely took a bit of practice. I was thankful to share the clean up task with Julia and sometimes Stephen!! So after halloween we told Andrew he could have a piece of his candy if he went #2 in the potty. Well, that smart little boy went 6 different times that same day and i had to give him 6 whole pieces of candy!! We quickly had to up the requirements and settled on 1 m&m for the prize. He gets to give each person an m&m every time he goes #2 so that is definitely his favorite part about the whole process!! It is nice to have potty training done with, but i have to say it does complicate traveling and running errands when you have to factor in bathroom trips for him! He does really well at nap time and bedtime and seems to have a large bladder!! On our travels he would not go for 7-8 hours at a time til he was in a bathroom he was comfortable in!! He is growing up so fast.

The boys love to sit in their chairs right next to eachother!!

It's so funny how very different Andrew and Jack are, but they love each other SO much just because they are brothers. So awesome! :)

That picture of Andrew on the potty is HILARIOUS! That's going to be one to show the girlfriend one day! haha!
