Andrew's Antics...

I feel like too much time has passed since i have written about what each of the boys are up to. These goofy faces of Andrew's remind me a lot of Stephen's goofy faces!! We were trying to do a cousin photo shoot and Andrew thought it was really funny to run from the picture:) He is getting so big. He brings so much joy.

Andrew has definitely entered the more independent stage of toddlerhood. I am discovering there is a fine line to be walked of letting him do as much as he can by himself, and also redirecting if needed. You no longer pick the child up from thing to thing but use more words and toddlers need a lot of time to transition sometimes!

He also seems to continue to be very sensitive, to our words and he is starting to think of his younger brother - like making sure Jack gets a sticker or a snack if he does too. Granted, he still likes to occasionaly tease and take toys from Jack but overall he just adores his little brother.

Andrew always refers to himself as "Andrew" and not I. I love hearing his phrases... "Andrew go to the park"... "Andrew talks to daddy"..."Andrew got a sticker"... etc. etc. I am kinda sad he is starting to incorporate "I" in his vocabulary. Lately he says "i do" for a lot of things! He has also started pretend talking on the phone a bit - he says "So" after every sentence. I am trying to figure out if either Stephen or I do that?

I still can't figure out which hand is dominate with him. He seems to hit/throw balls with his left, eats left or right handed and colors left or right. There is no consistency... maybe the dominance doesn't show up for a few more years. Lately reading stories to him has been so neat - we count things on each page and he starts talking about the characters around his own little world. Concerned that one of the children doesn't have shoes on, or is outside without mommy or daddy. We talk about God and who He is and Andrew sometimes points to a character and says "that's God". He really enjoys sitting and doing longer projects. Just a few days ago we started doing some potty training. He has done real well so far - we'll see how the week goes!
