Greocache and youngs

Some days you just have to get out! And we decided to brave the teen degree weather and try out a geocache. After spending forever packing up all the outdoor clothing gear we drove to John Bryant and spent 20 minutes getting the kids all dressed. Everything was going smoothly til Elsie had a major meltdown about not wanting to wear her boots or jacket and no amount of convincing was going to change it. Funny after 4 kids I am happy to say that I take these meltdowns a bit more in stride than I used to and I chalked it up as a few hours to sit in the van with Elsie and Josie while daddy hiked with the boys. Oh how I would love to get just a little fresh air, but even after an hour in the van Elsie was still not ok with mommy getting out. So we all ventured to youngs and had a fun time with the animals and supper/ice cream. Jackson cannot get enough of the animals and was sad to leave them. Andrew likes watching them but is mindful to wash hands after. Elsie enjoys them but also really wants to get inside! Love seeing the personalities of the kids at all ages!! So we had a nice drive home with the girls falling asleep for the night and chalked up the day as some good memories!
