This picture has a story. Earlier in the day Andrew had pinched his finger in the nursery and when i came to pick him up he was very concerned about it (the nursery worker said he had been saying "mommy kiss it" for about 45 minutes!). Since it was a small skin tear we put a bandaid on it and kissed it frequently throughout the day. Here Andrew is eating very carefully with his left hand so that he doesn't have to use his hurt finger on the right hand! It was pretty cute!
Andrew continues to love lining things up and keeping a sense of order about a lot of his stuff. Here is what he did with some cards we were playing with. He often prefers to go outside and write letters and numbers than run around and kick balls. Or now, whenever we go places he is trying to read everything - he is eager to learn to read more i think. He will ask Stephen to sit and "read the paper" so he can list off the letters to him. Here are a few cute things he has been saying lately:
-I had just finished nursing Jack, but was still a bit uncovered. Andrew pointed at me and said "mommy, close the milk"!
-Andrew picked up his stuffed animal "Blonco" and held him in a cradle position and said "Andrew feeding Blonco". Wasn't quite sure what to say to that one!
-Andrew has started answering things by saying "that one is a ..." or "this one is a ..." . He also says yesterday and today a lot! At first, everything happened yesterday. Now, everything happens today!
-At bedtime, we read a Bible story and pray every night. At the end of the Bible is Jesus smiling and saying that He will come back soon.
Andrew often at bedtime gets a big smile and says "Jesus is coming back soon" - it is very sweet.
-He likes to give Jack five - he calls it "fiving Jack"
-Whenever we ask Andrew what his Bible story was about he always answers "Jesus and the water". Jesus always wears purple in this Bible so he associates Jesus with purple!
-At night we turn the lights off and leave the night light on and we go over which lights he can turn on in the morning (Andrew has always loved lights!). He responds "when Andrew wakes up in mommy and daddy's house". Not sure where this came from??
