Popcorn festival and a smart boy...

We had a busy weekend. Andrew went to a friend's 3d birthday party, i went to a bridal shower, and we all attended the Beavercreek Popcorn festival. Stephen and i love handmade children's items, esp. wooden and things with their names. So when we saw these adorable handmade stools with one for Andrew and one for Jackson, we couldn't pass them up! (apparently, Jackson usually is the first stool to go - a popular name right now i guess!!) The letters come out so Andrew has had fun with those. We also got the purse and popcorn... good thing this festival only happens once a year!

The other night we were giving Andrew a bath. We bought him these floaty letters and numbers and we play with them and practice some of them. We asked Andrew to find the 8, and we pushed the 8 close to him so he would see it. He grabbed one of the letters and looked past the 8 in search of another. We thought he had forgotten about the 8 so we just watched him for a minute as he intently looked for something and finally pulled out a O. We smiled and didn't say much. Then, all of a sudden he held up that O next to another O he found, forming an 8!! We couldn't believe it - we laughed and told him what a good job he did finding an 8!! Hmmmm, maybe a future engineer here...
