The air is getting chilly and we are enjoying the last few days playing in the leaves! Can't believe Andrew will be 4 in just a few weeks... he talks about his 4th birthday all the time (and Christmas too). It is really fun now that he is starting to have memories of past special times.
Riding bikes on the trails is still very fun to do. Andrew has wanted to ride his bike without training wheels so daddy has been trying to help him do that. Can't believe he already wants to do that! he is so tall it might be next summer that he learns to do that.
Daddy put up the tire swing which is a hit! The first time use was a little rough - we had forgotten that it would take time for the boys to learn not get hit by a moving tire:) and how to stay on.
The boys take turns of who gets to go first on the tire swing. I sometimes take a turn too - i love to take a turn too:)
Jack is quite the talker now. He still has a very loud volume when he talks and has trouble understanding words like "whisper" and "quiet"!
He loves driving trucks and cars around, probably more than trains. He also is starting to get interested in building things with the big legos.
He finally got his toddler molars - they made their way into his mouth several months after his 2nd birthday. Such a relief to be done with teething!! He often wakes up 1 or 2 times during the night and calls "cover". Daddy goes in (usually mommy has Elsie with her in bed) and covers him a few times a night. Such a sweet daddy:)
Jack seems to have a real interest in drawing on the etch-a-sketch. He spends a long time drawing a person/object with great detail. Or one of his favorite things to do is sit with us and ask us to draw several different things for him.
Andrew's first lincoln log structure built all by himself. I am sure there will be many more to come!
I only got this one picture of Stephen's 30th birthday!!! oh well, it was a fun day:) I got up early and made a big breakfast, including our favorite homemade cinnamon rolls. Then off to work he went! The boys and i brought Stephen and a few of his coworkers lunch - chili, cornbread and this yummy banana pudding that Andrew is helping me make:) When Stephen came home we opened presents. I gave him a tortilla press so we made some fresh tortillas for supper. I had planned on a steak supper for after the boys went to bed but we were stuffed so we saved it for another day. We were realizing that we have known eachother for a 1/3 of his life! crazy.
snuggle time. we do this a lot:)
